email regarding the printer issue you are experiencing with the new copier in eceb 3065. after performing a bit of testing, we are able to confirm lpd options via cups is possible (although it may print your ip address in the process). i was able to draft the following instructions on how to do so. if there are steps you have already taken, please feel free to move onto the next step: 1. sudo apt install cups - in terminal 2. localhost:631 - in browser, this will open webgui 3. go to administration tab, select "add printer", then sign in using your computer account credentials. 4. select "lpd/lpr host for printer" option under "other network pictures" list. select continue. 5. enter address: "lpd://engr-print-01.engr.illinois.edu/eceb-3065-copier", then select "continue" 6. enter name, description, and location. no need to share printer. select "continue". 7. select make (kyocera) and model/driver (kyocera taskalfa 500ci kpdl (en)) for printer, then set printer options in the next page (we recommend keeping these set to their defaults). this should allow you to have a working lpd connection to the copier. if you have any questions or need further support, please feel free
